By day I architect cloud environments for large organisations. By evening I'm explaining why the sky is blue, or why dividing by a fraction makes a number bigger.

It's the same work in both rooms — take something complicated and make it make sense.

 

Kids just ask better follow-up questions. A twelve-year-old will ask why until you either reach the truth or admit you don't know it. That keeps me honest, and it's made me a far better communicator in my professional work too.
